Deliberations to Begin Today in Hicks Park Double-Murder Hate Crime Trial

By David in TN

On Day 4 of the Hicks Park Horton-Nichols murder trial, the prosecution showed the jury the 2011 police interview of Darren Price, the defendant. Price admitted to being present when the couple was killed, but denied shooting anyone.

Police found Nichols' car parked in front of Price's apartment. We've seen this several times. The perps kill someone and park the victim's car in front of their home, where police find it.

The state rested its case. The defense called one witness, a prison inmate, "whose testimony did not directly deal with the issue of Price's guilt or innocence."

Closing statements will be today, after which the jury will get the case.

The Tulsa World reported on Tuesday that Price was convicted of kidnapping and aggravated assault and battery in 2010. Why then, was he free to commit a double murder in 2011?
