In a Free Country, Turnabout is Fair Play: Intended Victim Kills Would-be Carjacker in Southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected carjacker was shot and killed by his intended victim early this morning in southwest Houston.

The attempted robbery happened outside an apartment complex on Hillcroft. Officers say the man who was killed was trying to steal the other man's car.

The would-be thief was shot at least once and died at the hospital. Police are still interviewing the man who shot him.

IN Texas, during hours of DARKNESS, you can lethal force against any person messing with your property.

From those days of the Old West when some villain would sneak up on you as you slept out on the range and steal your horse. The same as murdering you as you were in such a remote place.

What applies then applies now.

Now that truly is a robbery gone wrong. I wish the media would reopen it that way.
