His behavior was as typical and commonplace for his demographic as can be. There's no need to look for any further explanations since it's in-character. Which doesn't mean he's not using steroids like the rest of them seem to be. Football nowadays looks like 'roided-up cartoon characters crashing into each other. Athletes are not role models. We might just as well watch convict gladiatorial contests.
