To some observers, America’s political future might look bleak. We face the alternative of President-for-life “Barack Obama,” or “Obama” actually permitting an election, and our ending up with President Jeb Bush.
I have an unfair reputation for political pessimism, which I wish to dispel. Having just again watched Stanley Kramer’s classic movie about nuclear Armageddon, On the Beach (1959), I was inspired to propose an optimistic solution: The formation of a non-profit corporation, which will distribute 200 million free cyanide pills to patriotic Americans.
